2. Transportation & Forwarding Liability

Liability is a major topic in freight transportation. Did you know that international transit is governed by specific carrier limits? At CAISSON FORWARDING CO., INC., our liability for loss or damage is strictly limited to the amounts established by the Warsaw Convention, the CMR, or domestic law, depending on the route. We highly recommend purchasing additional insurance for high-value cargo.

3. Warehousing Solutions

Storing goods requires precision. Our warehousing terms specify that CAISSON FORWARDING CO., INC. serves as a bailee. We maintain state-of-the-art facilities, yet liability for inventory Shrinkage or force majeure events is limited as outlined in our service agreements. Our warehouse team in Broadview handles every pallet with care, but risk remains with the owner unless specific insurance is in place.

4. Payment and Fees

We've found that transparency in billing builds long-term trust. All invoices are due within 15 days of issuance. Late payments may incur a service fee of 1.5% per month. Why is this necessary? It ensures we can keep our trucks fueled and our drivers ready for your next delivery.
